Here's what the humans have to say about me:
MEMPHIS is a 1 1/2 year old spayed black female Lab who weighs 68 pounds. She has been brought to the shelter a few times before; her inattentive owners always came forward and claimed her. This time, she escaped for good and is looking for a home with people who want to be with her! She's a young, playful lab who loves attention and could use some obedience training to bring out her best self!
Memphis is approved for kids ages 10+. More info soon!!!!
From LR evaluator:. She was full of energy when I saw her and allowed me to touch her all over including tail and ears. It is obvious she has no training as she is very 'in your face' when wanting treats but she does try to listen when we talked to her. She was good with the other dogs. She will do very well once she gets to run off some of that energy.
From LR transporter: Memphis is a very, very friendly dog. Great company on the drive. Suggest she have chew toys around to keep her busy. I think she is a people dog since her little snout kept my neck and shoulder company most of the way. :-)
This dog is available for adoption from Lab Rescue LRCP. Lab Rescue LRCP rescues and places dogs in Maryland, Virginia, Washington DC, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, Delaware and northeast North Carolina (30 miles east of I-95 and north of the Pamlico Sound) Adopters must travel to Maryland, Virginia or Washington DC with their family - human and canine - to meet the dog they want to adopt.
Lab Rescue LRCP has between 50 - 80 dogs available for adoption from foster homes across Maryland and Virginia and at monthly adoption events. The adoption event dates are listed at www.lab-rescue.org.
If you are interested in adopting, please visit www.lab-rescue.org and complete an adoption application. Within a few days of submitting an application you will hear from an Adoption Coordinator who will guide you through the adoption process.
An adoption fee is charged to cover the cost of veterinary care and a home visit is required.
