My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi! My name is Kiwi and I’m a 7 or 8 year old Quaker Parrot. My first mommy says I’m a girl, but I think it was just a guess. My foster mommy says I’m just the best little birdie ever. It only took me 2 days to warm up and feel right at home.

I'm a sweet, little girl and I just love to sit on your shoulder! If you have any of those hairs on your chin that you don't like, my foster mommy says I'm a great electr...electro...elec...one of those humans that specialize in hair removal and I'll do it for free!!

I was kinda lonely and bored in my old home so I plucked my feathers on my chest (guess that's why I'm so good at plucking your chin hairs for you). The vet says I didn't do any permanent damage to them, though, and they should grow back soon enough, now that I'm happy and not plucking anymore.

I do chatter a lot in my own Quaker language. I understand what I'm saying but you probably won't, except when I say "Hello". Maybe you could teach me how to say more things that you might understand?

I was on a seed diet when I came here, but I’m loving ZuPreem pellets and some of the stuff in the "Chop" my foster parronts are giving me, especially if you hand feed it to me.

So if you’d like a loving little birdie that is looking for my forever home, why don’t you come meet me? I would make a wonderful baby for those new at this birdie stuff. In the meantime, would you like to send me a "welcome to Rescue" gift? I would sure appreciate it! Here is the link to my Amazon Wish List:

Hope to meet you soon!
