Sweetie's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Sweetie's Story...
Sweetie is a sweet, well behaved and undemanding dog. She is also house and crate trained, and good with dogs of all sizes. She may be a bit unsure at first with new people, but it doesn't take her long to warm up to you and fall in love with you. At her foster home, she follows around her foster mum and dad everywhere. She loves laying by your feet quietly to enjoy her time with her human. She walks well on leash, and would loves to go on little walks if you have the time, but will understand it if you get busy now and then. She knows several commands including: sit, no and let's go. Overall, she is a low maintenance dog who just wants to have a soft bed and her own human to love on. If you are interested in a low-key pup that will always want to be near you, apply on-line to give Sweetie a forever home.

All of our dogs come spayed or neutered, fully up to date on vaccinations, including rabies (if age appropriate) and bordetella, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals.

For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. You will receive an automated confirmation once your application is successfully submitted. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the dog you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call ASAP.

We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where dogs can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting a dog in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal.

Thanks so much for caring about a needy animal!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sweetie, a Cincinnati Shiba Inu/Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shiba Inu/Chihuahua for sale in Cincinnati, or seeking a Shiba Inu/Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Cincinnati.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Cincinnati already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Cincinnati breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shiba Inu/Chihuahua breeders who help with Shiba Inu/Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Cincinnati paves the way for another one to be saved.
