My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Twister was picked up on Hwy 99 on 6/15/16. He appears to be a walker coonhound mix. When he first came in he would not let us get near him and would run away. Now he loves attention and to follow us around when he is out of his kennel. He definitely has a coonhound bark and loves to sing! Gets along well with all the other dogs but will pick a fight over food.

After you have brought proof of your dogs spay/neuter back to the shelter $50 of that adoption fee will be returned to you, or you may choose to donate it so that another dog can be spayed or neutered at our shelter.

By TN state law stray dogs are held for 3 days so they can be found by their owners before being put up for adoption or rescue. A dog found as a stray wearing a collar is held for 5 days before it is put up for adoption or rescue. Our shelter is a first come first adopt/rescue facility. There are no holds placed on dogs for potential adopters/rescue. They are available at 7am on the day they are available and must be picked up and paid for at that date/time. An adopter or rescue cannot call and hold a dog to be picked up at a later date. It is available to the public until it walks out the door.
