Astro- ADOPTED's Story...
JUNE 14, 2008===>> Astro's been in rescue a little over a month and what progress he has made. See his "before" listing for his first day in rescue, just one day after having been removed from a chain and having his collar cut off by the Animal Control officer. Since then he's also been neutered and hd his cauliflower like growth removed (biopsied and found to be NON-cancerous) . What a true gentleman Astro has proven to be. He is PERFECTLY housetrained, loves other dogs, is great on a leash, and we think he's barked once in the month we've had him. And take a look at him now. What a stunner!! His coat is starting to get slick, and he's lost that scared/confused/confined posture he had when he came in. Some family is going to be very lucky to adopt this one!! Astro fully expects to live the rest of his days as a pampered, inside dog. A fenced yard is required for safe, off-leash play time. Local adoptions only (within about one hour of Murfreesboro). Thanks for not asking to be the exception to the rules!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Astro- ADOPTED, a Murfreesboro Great Dane dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Great Dane for sale in Murfreesboro, or seeking a Great Dane dog from a breeder in Murfreesboro.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Murfreesboro already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Murfreesboro breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Great Dane breeders who help with Great Dane rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Murfreesboro paves the way for another one to be saved.
