Chikfila's Story...
Chikfila is a happy little girl who’s full of purrs and cuddles. Chikfila likes being held and snuggled with, and will come up to everyone new she meets expecting to make fast friends. She’s always ready for attention, or to go running after her toys. Chikfila has lived with children before and does extremely well with them. She’s very tolerant and likes getting lots of attention from the children she’s previously lived with.

Chikfila has the cutest Puss in Boots eyes, and is usually posing adorably, showing off her fluffy buff fur and white paws. She’ll give you constant head butts when she’s in the mood for attention. Chikfila was named because she was rescued after being found living behind a Chik-fil-A in West Virginia. She was way too sweet and cuddly not to find a loving home so she came to 4Paws. She’s looking for her forever home!

She needs to be the only cat in the adoptive home, and cannot live with dogs as she is afraid of them.

Chikfila was born in October 2015. She’s been spayed, micro-chipped, tested negative for FIV and feline leukemia, and is up to date on all her shots.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Chikfila, a Merrifield Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Merrifield, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Merrifield.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Merrifield already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Merrifield breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Merrifield paves the way for another one to be saved.
