My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Yo, I'm Columbo! I'm a huge handsome silver tabby fellow with the sweetest disposition. I came here after some kind people found me wandering around at a community cat colony last winter. My eyes were just slits, so infected I was nearly blind. I was very thin because I couldn't see to find food.

Once they brought me in, we found out I had a condition called entropion, where I was born with my eyelids folded in against my cornea. Every time I blinked, it scratched and hurt my eyes, and I would have slowly and painfully gone blind. Instead, Happy Cats got me surgery to fix them. You can see that I'm healing up nicely!

I'm a loving and confident guy, the first one to introduce myself to new people and make new friends. I love to hang out with my people, helping them with everything, your official Court Reporter. I'm still a youngster, so get out the toys and watch me go! I'm also a tummy rub kind of guy, who loves to flop and purr with my favorite people.

I am FIV positive, but I get along fine with the other cats I've met, so I can live happily in a home with other cats and if I get good health care, my lifespan should be just about the same as any other cat. I do fine with other nice dogs, so should be a great addition to just about any home. If you’d like to read more about FIV, please go to our website and click on the "What is FIV" article under Cat Care.

I can be adopted for $60, which includes my neuter, vaccinations, microchip, two virus tests, a blood panel, a month of free insurance and a free vet visit. I'm in a loving foster home now, so please call 635-5000 to arrange to visit me. I can’t wait to meet you!
