Jax's Story...
Jax is a courtesy post. Please contact Elizabeth at 1-207-465-3052 if interested.

Max is a handsome 2 year old Boxer boy from Europe. He is approx 75 lbs. He was brought over for his family and sadly wasn't socialized much and left in a crate often. He was teased by 3 small children in his home so is fearful of them and should be placed in a home with only teenage children who will respect him. He needs a confident leader to adopt him and to continue his training with socialization and build his confidence and trust. He is currently with a trainer in Nj and working on becoming a more confident boy. Sadly his owners dumped him at the trainers and luckily the trainer was willing to help, before he was dumped at a shelter. He is good with cats and could live with a female dog, no male dogs. He is neutered and up to date on his shots. Jax does require a fenced in yard in his new home. A home inspection will be required before Jax's adoption/placement.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jax, a Essington Boxer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boxer for sale in Essington, or seeking a Boxer dog from a breeder in Essington.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Essington already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Essington breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boxer breeders who help with Boxer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Essington paves the way for another one to be saved.
