Cruiser - Super Friendly Older's Story...
Meet Cruiser! He is the friendliest big guy you could ever want! Cruiser was given up to a vet because his family got a new kitten, and no longer wanted him. Poor Guy! He is 10 years old, and spent a YEAR at the vet clinic in a cage, awaiting a new family, before he was placed with one of our fosters.

He is super friendly and just wants to cuddle! He is the biggest teddy bear you will ever meet, and has a ton of personality! He does not act 10 years old, but does have some mild kidney issues, as well as a mild heart murmur. Neither one requires medication, but we have him on a kidney diet, and probably some holistic supplements would help. Cruiser just wants a big house to play in and a window sill to sunbathe on. (He got a little chuky afrter a year in a cattery at the vet, and his hind legs are a little atrophied, but has lost some weight and is starting to jump again in his foster home.)

Cruiser needs an indoor only home setting. He is buddies with the Corgi dog in his foster home, and is fine with dogs, and would do great with gentle kids. He has been around cats in the clinic and done well. But his previous family mentioned he chased the kitten.

Cruiser is neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, and has been tested negative for Fiv/felv. Please email connellpetrescue@gmail.com for an application to adopt this special boy!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Cruiser - Super Friendly Older, a Kirkland Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Kirkland, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Kirkland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Kirkland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Kirkland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Kirkland paves the way for another one to be saved.
