My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

King was purchased from a breeder to be a family pet but unfortunately their daughter was allergic to him. So the man who purchased him gave him to his brother, who owned a used car lot. The man's brother thought that he could make King a good guard dog. So from the age of 8 weeks to 8 months king lived on the property of the car lot. He suffered through the cold winter and was trying to get through our brutal summer, when he got a heat rash that became infected. The man took king to the vet and vet scolded him for leaving king outside in this heat. The man decided that he would keep him in the office during the day and then put him outside when they left at 5pm and leave him by himself until 11am when they opened. King was pushed into a small bathroom when clients needed to come into the office to sign a contract on their car, and King was unhappy so he scratched at the door, barked and demanded to be let out. During the day when the sales people were out on the lot selling cars, king found wood furniture to chew on, electrical wires to chew up, and on top of all of this, King refused to do the job expected of him. He refused to be anything but a friendly puppy who loved any kind of attention he could get. He never barked when strangers approached and he would likely lay out a welcome mat to an intruder as he was lonely and invited the company. So the man gave up with his idea to make King a guard dog and he surrendered King to us. He is now learning how to live in a house. Socialize with other dogs. He is being crate trained, and learning some manners. He has a good nature, he just needs to catch up on all he has missed out on so far. He has a ton of potential and aims to please. King is being fostered with two children who he is gentle with and place nicely with, two dogs that keep him in check and he does not challenge and two cats who he is curious bout but not aggressive towards. If you would like to make King yours, please go to http://www.rottenrottie.com/adoption.html and fill out the adoption questionnaire under the forms tab and return it to us. We will contact you once we have had a chance to look it over and let you know which dogs may be a good fit for you and your lifestyle. We look forward to working with you
