Hello!!! My name is Zeke, and I am a Greyhound/German Shepherd mix. A close look at my picture shows greyhound ears, hips, back legs and brindle coloring. What you don’t see is my greyhound temperament- very calm, eager to please, and loving! I am four years-old and looking for my forever home. I am playful- I love to play catch with a soft chew toy but I haven’t figured out the game of fetch. I love belly rubs and just being in the same room as my family. I am kennel trained and house broken. Walks and hikes are wonderful treats, and I am quickly learning how to walk on a leash. Rabbits still distract me, but I am getting better at listening to the command, “Leave it.” I get along with all types and sizes of people and dogs, though some people mistake my aggressive play approach as aggression. My foster family is trying to teach me how to be gentle, but old habits die hard! When I approach another dog people are distracted by my low growl and don’t notice that my tail is wagging furiously. I just want to play, but my noisy greeting scares away potential playmates. If you want a loyal companion who does not need to constantly be underfoot, if you want a dog who enjoys lounging in the backyard or sprawling out on his own bed in the family room, please consider me!
