Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Happy Shorty is a 14.3 pound, black & tan longhair, 14 year old boy looking for a happy home to call his very own.
Shorty is a sweet boy and gets along well with the cats and dogs he shares his foster home with in Florida. Crate trained, Shorty will bark when you first leave the house and bark with excitement when you come home.
Shorty would like a home where he could have a furry brother or sister and a person that was home often. Shorty has some very small cataracts on his eyes but they do not slow him down for one moment.
A cuddly boy, Shorty loves to lay beside his foster mom in the big bed and couch but is also happy in his doggy bed. Shorty knows how to use a ramp and is leash trained. He loves to roll in the grass and likes to play with toys.
Shorty is house trained but does need to be encouraged to go outside to potty on a regular basis. Like all dachshunds he will need to be confident in his environment to have good potty habits. All rescue dogs go thru a period of adjustment so understanding and patience is important.
This handsome boy is just waiting for his happy home. Apply to adopt Shorty today !
