Mona's Story...
Up for adoption: Mona.
Mona can be adopted in Texas.
We saved this dear sweet lab mix from a high kill shelter with minutes to spare! She has the coolest markings! We think she may have some Catahoula in her.
Sweet Mona is around 7 years old and weighs 75 pounds. She is housebroken, crate trained, good with other dogs and knows basic commands. She's a super smart girl.
Mona has some cataracts developing in her eyes and is a bit visually impaired. She just needs slow introductions to other dogs so she knows "everything is okay'.
She is spayed, fully vaccinated and micro-chipped.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Mona, a Austin Labrador Retriever/Catahoula Leopard Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Catahoula Leopard Dog for sale in Austin, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Catahoula Leopard Dog dog from a breeder in Austin.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Austin already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Austin breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Catahoula Leopard Dog breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Catahoula Leopard Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Austin paves the way for another one to be saved.
