Facts about Sammy

  • Age: Adult
  • Size: Small 25 lbs (11 kg) or less
  • Sex: Male
  • ID#: 400
Sammy is a very good little boy. He’s very well behaved in the house – never chewing on things, getting
on furniture, having “accidents, and being 9 years old he knows human language. If you want a totally trained Schnauzer, Sammy is for you! His Mom is 92 years old and can't care for him anymore. She will miss him dearly and her wish is someone will love him as much as she did. Many have written about wanting to adopt , now is the time. There are not many to be rescued (which is a good thing). A few policies are you need to live in Twin Cities, have a fenced place he can be safe, and can't be home alone all day long. He is used to his Mom being home and doesn't understand why he has to be crated for long hours now.

About Mpls./St. Paul Miniature Schnauzer Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

We assure that the Miniature Schnauzers surrendered to us will never go to a shelter or be without a home again. All are spayed and neutered, veterinarian checked, up-to-date on shots, and given any medical treatments needed.
Mpls./St. Paul Miniature Schnauzer Rescue mainly corresponds through e-mail and telephone calls. We meet at least twice a year to discuss fund raising and plan other activities we plan to do. We focus on providing owners a means to have their purebred Miniature Schnauzers placed by a reputable dog rescue group. The group has many organizational forms we use to make this process professional. We also educate the public on how to find a dog, responsible dog ownership, training issues. Irresponsible breeders, pet stores, and other sellers of dogs do not care where their dogs are being placed, resulting in overcrowded shelters. Going through a breed rescue group will stop this cycle of dogs being given way to "Just Anyone." MSPMSR.org takes responsibility for proper placement and what the breeders should have done to begin with.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Our rescue group has monthly events to keep up with our families that have adopted dogs through us. Many fosters are there at these events and we also welcome other miniature schnauzer owners to meet us and to become more involved with miniature schnauzer rescue. Educational speakers, holiday parties, how to groom your dog, and picnics are a few events we hold each year. Please view our event page for current locations: http://www.mspmsr.org/event/
