Apollo's Story...
I'm a handsome guy with an equally handsome name—Apollo. I'm a Golden Retriever/Chow mix with the most gorgeous golden coat. Now, the AKC may say I'm not a purebred dog and not good for show, but I certainly carry myself like a dog of fine breeding and distinction who would win any dog show. I have perfect posture and a graceful gait. I'm a well-behaved dog and a handsome one, too. I'm not too humble to say it. But I'm not a vain guy who wants to simply sit and admire his own good looks. I'm playful and enjoy a good romp in the snow. Get me out to play, though, and all that grace goes out the window. I just want to feel the wind through my fur. So what's a gorgeous boy like me doing without a home? Darned if I know! Once I get to know you and know that you're a trustworthy and fun-loving person, I'm just a big, goofy teddy bear. I'm just not the type that instantly is going to run into your arms barking “adopt me, adopt me.” I'm a bit too dignified for that. But if you want to adopt yourself the most loyal, most fun-loving, and by far the most handsome dog to be found, be sure to come out and find me, Apollo.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Apollo, a Aldie Golden Retriever/Chow Chow dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Golden Retriever/Chow Chow for sale in Aldie, or seeking a Golden Retriever/Chow Chow dog from a breeder in Aldie.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Aldie already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Aldie breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Golden Retriever/Chow Chow breeders who help with Golden Retriever/Chow Chow rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Aldie paves the way for another one to be saved.
