LIZZY's Story...
Lizzy is a precious little 2 pound, 3 month old kitten. Her crisp, bright white fur nicely contrasts her dilute calico markings. This little baby is ready to find a forever home! Lizzy was likely born to someone's pet kitty that they didn't have spayed. The momma probably raised the babies in the yard somewhere and as the kittens got older they began to wander. Or perhaps she was someone's pet kitten and it was a short-lived commitment until they put her out. Lizzy was picked up and brought to the shelter on June 23rd. She is currently available for adoption. She is up to date with shots and has been spayed. She will be micro-chipped and combo-tested (if old enough) upon adoption. Lizzy is in cage 683 and her ID is 586602.

When calling the shelter about a cat or dog, please use THE ID NUMBER, the names are oftentimes made up by volunteers.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

LIZZY, a Marietta Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Marietta, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Marietta.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Marietta already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Marietta breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Marietta paves the way for another one to be saved.
