Look at his face! This was his shelter photo, a photo that likely saved his life. Trembling in fear, he sensed his fate was uncertain. to further his suffering his front left leg was broken, unattended, which likely has contributed to his remarkable tolerance. Our prized colleague and a supreme rescuer in California asked us to rescue this dog from a Florida animal shelter. We did not know anything about his disposition. When he arrived he was frightened. Within hours his tail started to wag, his eyes grew bright. He realized he was safe and in an environment of trust. Maddox will not require any form of surgery for his leg, per our orthopedic specialist. His leg is healing on its own.
Without hesitation we placed Maddox in a large play area with a highly active Lab puppy and an adult Boxer. Maddox streamlined with the two immediately. The puppy pulls on Maddox's tail, his ears and considers Maddox as a big romping toy. Maddox's tolerance and patience with that typically rambunctious puppy is astounding.
