Bea's Story...
Hi, My name is Bea, which is short for Beatrice. My foster mom tells me I have the daintiest little face and that I am so beautiful. But I am not all about beauty, I have a very strong little body and I love to run and play in the yard. I also enjoy wrestling w my doggy friends. I will be a very loyal companion, to both young and old. I am only 10 months old, 18lbs, but have lived a lifetime already. I am ready to find a faithful, loving family that will take care of me forever. Might that be you? If interested please go to our website at www.addicuslegacy.org to complete an application.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bea, a West Hartford Dachshund/Whippet dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund/Whippet for sale in West Hartford, or seeking a Dachshund/Whippet dog from a breeder in West Hartford.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in West Hartford already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a West Hartford breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund/Whippet breeders who help with Dachshund/Whippet rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in West Hartford paves the way for another one to be saved.
