My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Take some time and get to know LaLa. She's a 2 year old Australian Cattle Dog/Pug mix. LaLa was rescued from the Lorain County Kennel. She was pregnant and immediately placed in a loving foster home. The following was written by her foster dad..."LaLa is a timid dog that frightens easily upon first meeting. She is very fearful of the leash and cowers when she sees it. I have a feeling she may have been disciplined with a leash. She sometimes shows aggressive behavior (protective not attack) to newcomers but quickly warms with a treat and kind words, posture means a lot, the owner must be assertive.
Now the good stuff. Once familiar with her owner she is the sweetest most loving dog you will find. Her new owner must be patient and give her a few days to see the real LaLa. This girl is house trained and has manners in the home. LaLa cries when left alone so it may be difficult to determine when she wants out. She does not like the crate/kennel. She absolutely loves to retrieve her squeaky toys and drops them at your feet. LaLa would be fine with older children if they are dog savvy. As I mentioned the relationship requires a few days to really know one another and develop, so please be patient. Once this happens, LaLa will be happy with her new family forever." Please take it slow when visiting.

If you have kids and/or another dog in your family and are interested in adopting a Friendship dog please bring them with you for a meet and greet. No appointment is necessary. Stop by anytime during regular business hours.

All dogs receive one or more vaccinations, a basic veterinary examination, are wormed, heartworm tested and spayed or neutered. Dogs 3 months and older are micro-chipped.
