Blue's Story...
AVAILABLE 06-29-16 After four years of living with them, sweet Blue was brought to the Shelter by his owner who provided lots of good information about him - he's housetrained, was good with their kids and other dog, loves to play fetch, enjoys walks, water even baths. They described him as an active, playful, lap loving social butterfly; they wrote he's "a very good kind gentle boy". Blue has been neutered, his vaccinations are current and he tested negative for heart worms. Blue is a real sweetheart, so come to the Shelter in Elizabeth City, take him for a walk, play fetch with him in the get acquainted room - you might decide to make Blue part of your family FOREVER.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Blue, a Elizabeth City Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shepherd (Unknown Type) for sale in Elizabeth City, or seeking a Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Elizabeth City.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Elizabeth City already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Elizabeth City breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shepherd (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Shepherd (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Elizabeth City paves the way for another one to be saved.
