Adopted as a kitten whom she's lived with and known as her only family. Her previous owners adopted a male polydactyl kitten from our rescue 2 years ago when looking for a companion and playmate for their sweet girl. Since adopting from us two years earlier her owners were obligated to return her companion to us per their contract and requested that we also take in Apple since the pair have become close despite their difference in age. Both Apple and companion known as Mittens have been with us for several days and will soon be up for adoption.
Because she is slightly older we decided to keep her name Apple instead of changing it as we tend to do. She is a female tortoiseshell cat approximately 4-5 years of age. Apple is shy and timid until she is comfortable with her surroundings but once warmed up is sweet, affectionate and loving. She's been an inside/outside cat her entire life while living with her one and only known previous owners but since being surrendered has not had any issues with solely being indoors. Apple loves to lick her companions hands and fingers as her way of giving kisses and will meow loudly for attention. She is laid back and very loyal which makes her the perfect cat companion. Although spayed she is in the process of having all other vet care updated. Because she is 4-5 years old (approximately) Apple is not very playful with toys unless it's her favorite which happens to be a laser. She's been raised up around other cats and dogs however like most cats will hide and hiss at them until she's reassured she will not be harmed. Apple will make the perfect cuddly house cat for almost anyone and should do well in just about any type of home. Since she lived as the only and primary cat in her household for several years being the only cat does not bother her however since she has had a companion and playmate for the past two years I doctors with other cats may help hi through another transitioning once she is adopted. Having such a sweet and lovable personality makes Apple the perfect adoption candidate for an individual or family type of setting however due to her slightly older age we request no small children in the home. To meet Apple is to fall in love with her which is why we hope that this sweet girl finds the best adoptive home soon.
