Otter's Info...

I am already spayed, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Otter's Story...
We think Otter is a mix of Sea Otter and Skunk but Adopt a Pet doesn't have that for a breed! Seriously though...adorable!! Otter is about 1year old and weighs 8 pounds. This girl is very sweet, very social and housebroken. Otter gets along great with other dogs and is also good with cats. She will need some leash training as she's not thrilled with a leash yet but she will get there! Otter is in foster care in West TN and will be transported once her adoption is finalized. If you'd like to add Otter to your family please visit our website at www.goofyfootrescue.org and fill out an online application.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Otter, a Southington Dachshund/Poodle (Miniature) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund/Poodle (Miniature) for sale in Southington, or seeking a Dachshund/Poodle (Miniature) dog from a breeder in Southington.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Southington already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Southington breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund/Poodle (Miniature) breeders who help with Dachshund/Poodle (Miniature) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Southington paves the way for another one to be saved.
