June's Story...
Introducing June, a total sweetheart.! The vet has guessed her to be about 12 weeks old, making her birthday around 4/1/16. June and her litter mates were dumped at a high kill shelter in Arkansas. She has been described as the biggest snuggler. She loves to be held and give hugs. She currently weighs just 8 pounds. She loves to be around peoples and follows her foster mom all around. She arrived to Illinois a little on the shy side, but after experiencing being loved, she is coming around, more and more every day. Then the other side of her loves to play and wrestle with her canine siblings. She is currently in a home with different size dogs and does fine with all. Being eager to please, she already sits for treats. Previous puppy experience is a plus. Also, she will need someone home a good portion of the day to continue her training and socialization.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

June, a Elgin Chihuahua/Jack Russell Terrier puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua/Jack Russell Terrier for sale in Elgin, or seeking a Chihuahua/Jack Russell Terrier puppy from a breeder in Elgin.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Elgin already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Elgin breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua/Jack Russell Terrier breeders who help with Chihuahua/Jack Russell Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Elgin paves the way for another one to be saved.
