Lucky's Story...
"Are you looking for a fun-loving and friendly fellow to brighten your life? Well, maybe I'm the dog for you! My name is LUCKY, and I'm a one-year-old Chihuahua/ Rat Terrier cutie who always thinks his cup is half-full. My good-natured attitude tends to rub off on people and other dogs, so I bring joy wherever I go. I'd be a wonderful family pet, and I get along well with other dogs. I'm an active little guy, so room to run and a daily walk would suit me just fine. After my daily exercise, I'll be ready to snuggle. As a youngster, I'm ready and eager to learn whatever you'd like to teach me, and I'd be happy to spend time with you while I learn my basic obedience skills. I'm destined to be a great friend and a cherished member of the family. Just look at my happy face! Please come visit me at the El Cajon Animal Shelter so we can spend some time getting to know each other in the nice play yard that they have here. Maybe then you'll give me the forever home that I've been dreaming of. Love, Lucky"

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lucky, a El Cajon Chihuahua/Rat Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua/Rat Terrier for sale in El Cajon, or seeking a Chihuahua/Rat Terrier dog from a breeder in El Cajon.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in El Cajon already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a El Cajon breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua/Rat Terrier breeders who help with Chihuahua/Rat Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in El Cajon paves the way for another one to be saved.
