My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Let us introduce you to Penny Sue. She is a special case and needs a owner who can understand her specific needs. Penny Sue is 3 1/2 years old and she is, as you can see, adorable. She is paralyzed, but has come a long way in her recovery. She is now able to stand up on her own and can actually run with some unsteadiness. She is incontinent, but that is improving as well, and she is letting you know when she has to go outside. She has an amazing fun-loving spirit and is playful and sweet. Penny Sue adores children, and is very smart. Her current living conditions allow her to be in the house in an enclosure, and when she gets to run in the house, she wears a diaper. Penny Sue enjoys being outside and can't wait for her daily walks. And even with her disability, she can run faster than most dogs. Penny Sue needs an owner that has a patient disposition and who would be willing to take on these special needs. Penny Sue would do fine living outside with a protected enclosure, and the ability to be brought inside wearing a diaper. We really want to see her spend time with someone who can give her lots of attention and a quality of life filled with busy days and lots of love. Her current foster parents don't feel they are providing her with enough attention and one-on-one due to their incredibly busy schedules. Penny Sue will always have a home with them, but we are hoping the right person(s) will fall in love with her and adopt her. She will go to her next home with a continuous supply of diapers provided. She would do fine in a home with children, and probably best as an only dog. If you are interested in this courageous little dog, she is available to meet at our Thrift Shop, 855 Gray Avenue Yuba City. Please call 530-755-2025, to schedule an appointment to see her. You can also call Theresa at 530-300-4000 for more information. She has been spayed and is up to date on her vaccinations.
