Meet Roxi!

Roxi is a very sweet and healthy, 10 year old Boxer x Husky. When her family's work schedule changed, so did Roxi's eating and exercise habits.

The vet gave her a clean bill of health and a new feeding and exercise regime. Miss Roxi has been in foster care for about two weeks at the time of this bio and she is looking slimmer and feeling much better already!

This sweet girl enjoys leisurely walks in her neighbourhood, hanging out in the yard with her four legged foster sisters and cuddling with foster Mom & Dad.

This sweet girl will fit best in a quiet home, with someone looking for a laid back companion that is willing to throw her a tennis ball out in the back garden.

About ANML-RESQ Network of Ontario

About Our Rescue Group...

Welcome to ANML-RESQ

We are a small dedicated group of rescuers ... sound familiar? Well it's the truth and it fits the bill for this group of friends and many other great rescue groups. We used to be called Save Our Animals Rescue and have recently given ourselves a new name and new logo --- pretty nice eh? Most of us work full-time and are raising a family but we spend a whole lot of time and energy helping animals in need.

Mission Statement

ANML-RESQ: The establishment and operation of an animal rescue for the purposes of:

*Encouraging organized animal rescue;
*Encouraging and promoting proper animal training and behaviour techniques;
*Promoting better knowledge and fostering of animals;
*Ensuring testing and behaviour analysis of each animal;
*Ensuring spay/neuter, vetting of all animals in our care;
*Promoting adoption for unwanted dogs and cats;
*Promoting the structured re-homing of rescued animals;
*Promoting the principles of good animal/human relationships; and
*Promoting educational seminars in the community and surrounding areas.

Our goal is to save a dog or cat from being euthanized in a shelter, through no fault of their own - just in the wrong place at the wrong time. If we don't have a foster home available we will work with other reputable organizations to find a place and showcase them on our web site.

We rely solely on donations and fundraisers to spay/neuter, vaccinate and microchip our pets prior to adoption. We don't even use funds for gas to transport the pets in our program to their new homes!

We are a non-profit group where you can receive tax receipts for your donations. Please contact us at to find out more.

Our Adoption Process...

If you are interested in adopting one of our rescue dogs, please fill out an Adoption Application form found on our website, Once we have received your completed application, we will contact you for a phone interview, check both personal and veterinary references and if all checks out we will continue the adoption process with a home check.
If you are an approved home for one of our rescue dogs after the adoption process has been followed through, we will draw up a contract to finalize the adoption.
Fees vary for seniors or special needs rescue dogs.
