Mae's Story...
Due to state laws regarding out of state adoptions, we cannot adopt to families in Massachusetts or Rhode Island.

Mae wants to be the next member of your family! She is a terrific dog that just wants somebody to love. She is approximately 9 months old, well behaved, passive, has great leash manners, and is house broken and crate trained. Mae is good natured and does great with cats, kids, and other dogs. She is an active, young girl and loves to go for walks. She is currently being fostered in Mississippi and will be transported via PETS transport services upon adoption. Her adoption fee is $400 and includes spay, age appropriate vaccinations, a nose to tail vet check, and transport costs.

Second Chances is a rescue organization based out of Pontotoc, Mississippi which adopts dogs and puppies all over the Northeastern United States. All of our dogs and puppies are kept in private foster homes in Mississippi until adopted. Our dogs are NEVER in a facility.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Mae, a Kittery Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Kittery, or seeking a Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in Kittery.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Kittery already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Kittery breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Kittery paves the way for another one to be saved.
