Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Please meet Apollo. He is approximately 8 months old. Apollo is a brindle either poorly bred boxer or boxer-mix. Apollo has the "boxer under bite, however his snout is on the longer side. He has natural ears and tail. What can we say about Apollo? Well his story began as a young pup, adopted by people who eventually didn’t want him anymore. This happens folks when people adopt dogs without researching the breed or understand “puppy behavior.” Apollo is a happy, go lucky pup that views life as “a bunch of fun.” He has explored the world around him with his foster Mom and 2 canine playmates!
Apollo is crate trained. He is not totally potty trained but is working really hard to only potty outside. He is very smart and is progressing nicely in this area. Apollo is neutered and is current on all vaccines. We would like to see Apollo in a home with another dog as he thoroughly enjoys playing with his canine fosters. We would also like Apollo’s fur-ever home to have a fenced in are in which Apollo can run and explore. He exhibits “Puppy behavior” therefore though he loves children, homes with toddlers would not be suitable for Apollo. He engages in age appropriate jumping and chasing and may inadvertently knock down a toddler. People are sometimes stuck on the notion that they would like a puppy for their toddler to grow up with. In many cases a toddler and a pup are not the best match. Puppies engage in age appropriate, puppy nipping, teething, scratching, jumping etc. If you have a toddler and are interested in a dog as a new family member, please consider our Molly who is also in need of a fur-ever home. Molly has lived and continues to live with toddlers and babies and is fine with both.
If you feel you would be a match for Apollo, please complete an Adoption Application found at www.fassasfriendsboxerrescue.com under the Adoption Tab at the top of the website's page. If you’ve already done so and are approved, simple email us at fassasfriends@gmail.com letting us know your name, that your approved and that you would like to meet Apollo.
