Sina is a young stray, Dilute Calico cat that was found to be double positive for FIV and Leukemia. Her rescuer decided this gentle cat deserved a second chance and moved forward with her veterinary care. Sina has been spayed and made up to date on vaccinations. She is currently being boarded at a veterinary clinic but cannot live there forever. Sina will need to live in an indoor home as an only cat or with other double positive cats as she could transmit this virus(s) to other healthy cats. For more information on this special girl, please email David at davidsina@gmail.com. She will have a small rehoming fee.

About PUPS - Prevent Unwanted Pets

About Our Rescue Group...

PUPS was formed in 2003 because there were no shelters in Austin, Colorado, Waller or any other counties west of Houston. There are a couple of shelters now, but they are very small. Our goal is do reduce the number of unwanted pets in our area by encouraging spay and neuter and helping to pay the bill for people who cannot afford to spay or neuter their animals on their own. We get calls daily to help place animals and have recently stepped up our ability to do this with the use of foster homes.

Come Meet Our Pets...

PUPS has a cat condo at the Rosenberg Petco. We do dog adoptions there most Saturdays also. PUPS does adoptions at the Petco on Mason Rd in Katy almost every Saturday. We have booths to promote spaying and neutering and have a few animals for adoption at many local events (fairs, festivals) in eight counties west of Houston. See our website for more information.

Our Adoption Process...

After screening and filling out the adoption form, the adoption fee for puppies and kittens is $35. When the puppy or kitten is 5-6 months old, you pay an additional $35 and we pay the rest of the spay or neuter. We do a followup phone call to make sure this happens. We make sure the pup or kitten is current on vaccinations, worming, etc. Most animals over 6 months of age will have already been spayed or neutered, be on heartworm prevention, be current on vaccinations, etc. The adoption fee for these animals is $70.
