Maxie's Info...

I am housetrained, purebred, and up to date with shots.

Maxie's Story...
I’m Maxie, an 18 month old pure bred Basset Hound love bug. I love people; especially ones that give me massages, kisses, and let me snooze in the sun. I have a favorite spot, right behind my ears, that I like to get rubbed. When that happens, I make a funny sound, because it feels so good! Sometimes I will "sing" to you to let you know how much I appreciate you giving me some extra love. I get along with the dogs, cats, and people including respectful children of all ages. I would rather not spend my time jogging since my ears trip me up sometimes. I am a simple gal that just wants to spend time with you. I would love to have a house full of soft beds, people who like snuggles, and yummy treats!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Maxie, a Macon Basset Hound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Basset Hound for sale in Macon, or seeking a Basset Hound dog from a breeder in Macon.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Macon already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Macon breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Basset Hound breeders who help with Basset Hound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Macon paves the way for another one to be saved.
