Wren's Story...
We are proud to introduce miss Wren. Wren is a take anywhere kind of puppy. She gets along with everyone and likes to stick by your side. Sure, she'll go for a romp with a big dog, but likes to come back and check in with her people. She is kennel trained and is well on her way to being potty trained. She loves kids, and other dogs. And her favorite thing to do....cuddle up next to you to take a nap. Well, second to chasing a ball. What a sweetie she is.
Wren and her siblings were rescued from the high kill Memphis Animal Services and we are so pleased to have them as a part of our WAR family. Her adoption fee is $500 and will include her spay surgery, microchip, up to date vaccinations, fecals/ deworming, all other nessesary vetting while in our care, health certificate and transportation from Memphis to your area. Wren is also up to date on heartworm/flea/tick prevention. If you love Wren's sassy and sweet personality as much as we do, email us at wilsonanimalrescue@yahoo.com for an application.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Wren, a Chicago German Shepherd Dog/Boxer puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog/Boxer for sale in Chicago, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog/Boxer puppy from a breeder in Chicago.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chicago already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chicago breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog/Boxer breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog/Boxer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chicago paves the way for another one to be saved.
