Haywood's Info...

I am already neutered, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with cats.

Haywood's Story...
Haywood and his brother Ambrose were born in March, 2016. Their first adopter was overwhelmed with caring for them and her two other cats so the brothers were returned to us as older foster kittens.

They have required some socializing but now crave human contact and are working on their manners. They have both been neutered and are up-to-date on shots and are FeLV and FIV negative.

The boys are very playful but also like to hang out when you work on your computer. Wand toys are by far their favorites. Haywood is more outgoing and talkative. He will growl when he encounters something new, but it’s just a reflex and he is a friendly boy. Ambrose is a bit timid and since the brothers have been together so long, they are bonded and ideally should be adopted together.

Haywood and Ambrose would be perfect for a home with owners who have cat experience but don’t have dogs or pre-school children. They would probably get along with other cats with patient introduction.

This kitten has been dewormed, immunizations are up to date (Rabies and FVRCP-Distemper) and is FIV/FELV negative. He has also been neutered.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Haywood, a West Orange Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in West Orange, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in West Orange.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in West Orange already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a West Orange breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in West Orange paves the way for another one to be saved.
