Jack's Story...
Jack came to the shelter after someone found him wondering around the highway, rather than seeing him as road kill, they brought him to the police dep. where I picked him up. He's a pleasant little guy weighing in at 22 lbs. He's one of them dogs that has a smile on his face and just so happy to see you. Doesn't seem to be much of an outside kind of guy, but prefers to do his business and rush back in for his peanut butter kong. Want someone to chill with on the sofa, this would be your guy. Downside of poor Jack, is he is heartworm positive. Treatment for this would have to be discussed with your vet to see what kind of treatment they would go with. Don't let this deter you, heartworms can be treated and he will have many happy years.

Act quickly to adopt Jack. Pets at this Shelter may be held for only a short time.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jack, a MC KENZIE Boston Terrier/Border Collie dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boston Terrier/Border Collie for sale in MC KENZIE, or seeking a Boston Terrier/Border Collie dog from a breeder in MC KENZIE.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in MC KENZIE already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a MC KENZIE breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boston Terrier/Border Collie breeders who help with Boston Terrier/Border Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in MC KENZIE paves the way for another one to be saved.
