Here's what the humans have to say about me:
DOB June 21, 2004.
Shade (also known as Reggie to his foster family) is the coolest of cats. Independent, mature, and somewhat shy at first but warms up quickly. He is living out his golden years happy and very healthy - this guy loves the indoor life and just hanging out. While he may have outgrown his playful years (you won't find this guys playing with many cat toys anymore!) he is truly the best companion - you can pet him, play with him, rub his belly, brush him - and you will get a huge purr in response!! He is also the BEST ALARM CLOCK EVER! From the sound of his purr to the gentle nudge of his head, this guy will melt your heart. He also wags his tail when he's happy which is rare.
Shade was surrendered by his owner sadly after having him for most of his life - he spent three months in the shelter as the local favourite cat, sadly getting overlooked by adopters, before his foster family grabbed him. The entire shelter cheered when he left. He was slightly overweight but this has been controlled with proper food portions. He is very healthy. This guy is a real companion. He will keep you company. Shade needs a good loving home... will it be yours?
Thank you for welcoming a senior cat into your family - an adoption fee of your choice is appreciated versus our standard adoption fee of $175.
