Jillian's Story...
Jillian (aka "Jilly") is a beautiful 7 month old yellow lab mix female. (We think she is also part Black Mouth Cur.) She weighs 46 pounds, and she is a ball of laughs. She has a smile plastered to her face 24/7, and she plays with ANYTHING (dogs, kids, horses, pigs, cats, toys, etc.). She loves to be active, and she loves children, so we think a home with a large yard and some kids would be ideal. Jilly is house trained, crate trained, and she rides well in a car. She is an excellent couch snuggler, but she's also content chewing on a bone in her crate. She LOVES water and pools, and she begs for us to spray her in the face with the hose; we think she would like to be a part of a family who has a pool and/or boat.

Jilly's age of 7 months is perfect, as you still get the playfulness of a puppy without all of the chewing/house-breaking headaches. She is healthy and fully vetted (spayed, microchipped, and vaccinated, current on trifexis). Jilly is fostered in Huntsville, AL, but she is available for adoption in your area! You can fill out an application for this sweet girl here: http://forrescue.net/dog-application/

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jillian, a Marietta Labrador Retriever/Black Mouth Cur dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Black Mouth Cur for sale in Marietta, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Black Mouth Cur dog from a breeder in Marietta.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Marietta already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Marietta breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Black Mouth Cur breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Black Mouth Cur rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Marietta paves the way for another one to be saved.
