IRIS AND CLEMENTINE's Story...
ABOUT IRIS AND CLEMENTINE
These two girls will be adopted out together. They arrived into Handsome Dan's Rescue on 6/28 and will need to stay with us for approximately four weeks until they are old enough to be spayed. We are guessing they were five or six weeks on 6/28.

They were picked up as strays living in a feral colony in Coventry, but these two walked right up to the person feeding the cats, they are friendly and playful, certainly not feral. The black one (Iris) is permanently blind in one eye, either due to trauma or a defect from birth. We are helping the eye area heal and the vet tells us the eye will not need to be removed. Otherwise, the pair are happy, healthy kittens.

We are accepting applications for the kittens, but they will not go home until they are spayed. We are hoping to have their new home all picked out so we can send them home right after they have recovered.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

IRIS AND CLEMENTINE, a Cranston Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Cranston, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Cranston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Cranston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Cranston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Cranston paves the way for another one to be saved.
