Commitment is something that me and BFF Rufus know a lot about. We have been mates for as long as we can remember, and nothing is going to tear us apart. I know it is probably a lot to ask for someone to open their home to not just one, but two sourmugs. But when you got a good thing going you can't just throw it to the wind. We are both pretty docile and very loving, we're also pretty darn protective. We are both very affectionate and loyal companions once we warm up. I tend to run the show, and won't hesitate standing up for my man! We're uninterested in making friends with cats but we could live with another dog, but honestly when you got a dynamic duo like us, why would you need a third wheel? We are both crate trained and housebroken. You know what they say— two wet noses are better than one! So you just might have hit the love jackpot!

Our adoption fee is $200 and includes microchip & registration, neuter/spay, reduced-cost training class, free veterinary exam, 1 month pet health insurance, leash/collar, food sample, toy & treat packet.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Gertie & Rufus, a Portland English Bulldog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a English Bulldog for sale in Portland, or seeking a English Bulldog dog from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even English Bulldog breeders who help with English Bulldog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
