found a new home!
Plenty of my friends are looking
for one too. Find a pet to adopt.
I am already spayed, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with dogs.
Lacey is one of the dogs we received from a hoarding situation. She is one of four. We also have her sister Morgan. She is a very loving dog who loves laps and likes to go with you everywhere. She gets along well with other dogs but basically ignores them, she has more interest in people. She has not been around cats. She can be a little nervous when she first meets you but once she gets to know you she will be glued to your lap. Lacey is mostly a Chihuahua/Doxi mix but could have a little something else in there as well.
She lives in a home with children and does become nervous with high energy kids so it is preferable that if there are kids in the home that they are a little on the calmer side. Lacey does sleep in a crate at night but she would prefer not to. She would much rather sleep in bed under the covers with her person. She is house broken and will ask to go outside. She does not have a doggie door in her current foster home but she did have one in her first foster home so she does know how to use one. Currently when her foster mom leaves the house for short periods Lacey is left loose, for longer periods she puts her in a crate. One of the cutest thing with all this group of dogs is they all dance on their hind legs. It’s quite charming, unless of course you have food in your hand and then it is begging
Lacey is a climber and if she can get on counters or tables she will. She will get into any food that is left on them as well. So your home needs to be Lacey proof. Don’t get me wrong, she is a wonderful dog but we think she was a cat in her first life. In her first foster home she was able to reach the kitchen counters because furniture was near the pass through. She will also get on chairs and get on the dining room table. So she definitely needs more training and needs to be watched but she is well worth it.
She would be fine as an only dog or in a home with just a few dogs. Coming from a hoarding situation we feel that these dogs have just had enough with dog overload. And prefer to just be loved and cuddled for the rest of their lives. Lacey will make a wonderful dog for someone.
Lacey is spayed, UTD on vaccines, microchipped, heartworm negative and started on heartworm preventative. She also received a dental on June 29th. So her teeth are nice and pearly white. Her adoption fee is $150. If you would like to meet Lacey please complete an application at http://www.adoptapet.com/chihuahuarescueandrehab
