Mia's Story...
Mia is fostered in Grapevine TX, 76051 through United Yorkie Rescue http://unitedyorkierescue.org. To find out more about Mia, contact her foster mamma at: tdwilkie@verizon.net

Mia is a 3 yr old 5lb Yorkie girl surrendered by her elderly owner who could no longer care for her any longer, in June 2016. She arrived dirty, matted, and in heat. She was spayed and had most of her teeth removed, her teeth were so bad that the vet kept her overnight to make sure she was stable. She is doing great now.
Mia is the sweetest little girl who loves to be cuddled and petted; she's very loving and affectionate. Everyone who meets her falls in love with her. We are working on potty training. as she has occasional accidents, a schedule will benefit her greatly. Due to her small size, she cannot be adopted by a family with small children, only children who will be respectful and understand proper handling of her small size, and dogs of similar size or gentle manner will be best.
As Mia is still relatively new to rescue, updates will be posted. If you're interested in completing an application for Mia, go to: http://unitedyorkierescue.org

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Mia, a Lancaster Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier for sale in Lancaster, or seeking a Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier dog from a breeder in Lancaster.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Lancaster already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Lancaster breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier breeders who help with Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Lancaster paves the way for another one to be saved.
