Maddox's Story...
Cute? Check. Playful? Check. Adorable and sweet? Check, check! My name is Maddox. I'm a cute, petite little girl who never seems to meet a stranger. I love toys, playing with other dogs and loving on my people. I am almost 100% on my house training. When I need to go, I will stop what I'm doing to sniff around, giving you a great clue that it's time to get me outside. I am crate trained and sleep quietly through the night, too. Getting along with the children and other dogs in my foster home is easy to me. And last but not least, any kind of toy is my favorite toy! I hope my new family will plan lots of trips to the pet store in my future. If you want to check cute little me out, email info@habitat4paws.org and ask how to make me yours!

**Because we require home visits, we only adopt locally to the Dallas/Fort Worth area. For more on adoption policies, please see the Adopt page of our website, www.habitat4paws.org.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Maddox, a McKinney Terrier (Unknown Type, Small)/Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Terrier (Unknown Type, Small)/Chihuahua for sale in McKinney, or seeking a Terrier (Unknown Type, Small)/Chihuahua dog from a breeder in McKinney.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in McKinney already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a McKinney breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Terrier (Unknown Type, Small)/Chihuahua breeders who help with Terrier (Unknown Type, Small)/Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in McKinney paves the way for another one to be saved.
