Albie's Info...

I am good with kids and good with dogs.

Albie's Story...
Albie is a SWEET "older" man who loves to be near his people...and he is looking for a new home! He is approximately 11 years old and weighs 11.5 pounds. He was surrendered to our rescue group because his owner was moving... He barely had any teeth when we got him and unfortunately had to pull a few more because they were decayed. He feels so much better now though!! Even though Albie is technically a senior, he still has the energy of a young adult dog. While he does okay with most dogs, he prefers to be a lap dog with his human. He will snuggle up next to you on the couch or in the bed...he will give you plenty of kisses too!! Albie is quite the charmer. He does well on a leash but does not like riding in cars...it makes him a bit nervous and he whines. He is pretty well housebroken but marks occasionally. If you are interested in adding Albie to your family, please go to www.goofyfootrescue.org to complete an online adoption application. He is being fostered in West TN and will be transported once his adoption is finalized.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Albie, a Southington Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier for sale in Southington, or seeking a Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier dog from a breeder in Southington.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Southington already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Southington breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier breeders who help with Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Southington paves the way for another one to be saved.
