My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Parker is a friendly Bombay/ black domestic short hair mix fella who was born in March 2016. Like a typical playful, inquisitive, and affectionate Bombay mix, Parker has a shiny black-patent-leather coat and mesmerizing copper-penny eyes. Bombays are often called Velcro cats because they bond with their humans so well, and Parker is no exception. He has always been the most outgoing of his littermates. He loves to snuggle and will find his way straight up to your lap in order to get the attention first. Parker is wonderful with children, loves to play with other cats, and doesn't seem to mind dogs.
Please don't be superstitious of black cats! Buster's Friends makes a concerted effort to rescue black cats and kittens from shelters because they are five times more likely to be euthanized than any other color of cat. However, many people who have previously had a black or Bombay mix cat end up adopting another one because they seem to have such wonderful personalities and are emotionally stable and well balanced. To find out more about Bombay mixes, watch the attached 2-3 minute You Tube video that appeared on Animal Planet or Google "Cats 101 Bombay."
Parker is one of 10 kittens who were living under a building in the museum district and who were trapped by a wildlife professional. He is so grateful that the man reached out to Buster's Friends to rescue him from the local kill-shelter. Despite his hardscrabble beginnings, Parker has adjusted well to a "cushy" indoor life with brimming food bowls in his foster home. Although he enjoys the chaos of having a lot of siblings with whom to cuddle and play, he also would like to find a family of his own where he can receive a lot of love and attention. Won't you give a home to this adorable chip of onyx?
Parker is updated on shots, neutered, dewormed, microchipped, FIV/ FeLV negative, and ready for his indoor-only home. His adoption fee is$125 for kittens 9 months old and younger, cash or check payable to Buster's Friends. Please click the contact button if you are interested in Parker, and we can let you know exactly where you can meet him.
