Please meet Luna Lee. Luna Lee is a purebred, white female pup that happens to be deaf. Yes, Luna Lee is 9 months old and deaf. She is being surrendered because the resident dog in the home has not taken real well to Luna Lee. Luna Lee is potty trained. Deaf dogs are as trainable as hearing dogs. In our frequently asked questions, there is a question and answer pertaining to training a deaf dog. here is also a website: Deaf Dogs Rock that is a great place to begin researching deaf dogs. They will also answer any questions you may have. Teaching a deaf dog hand signals is as easy as teaching a hearing dog using verbal commands.
Luna Lee walks well on leash and thoroughly enjoys long walks. She also is great with other dogs. She is accustomed to children as she has been living with a 5 year old since she was 9 weeks old. She is a happy girl, enjoys playing and enjoys a nylabone to help curtail her puppy chewing.She will jump on you when she first meets you but then settles down within a few minutes...remember she is still a puppy. Luna Lee's potential adoptive home will be required to have at least a 5' high physically fenced in area where she can run and play safely. Luna Lee is also spayed and current on vaccines.
