Fergus' Photo Album Fergus is a young sweet Pointer Mix from Brownsville, TN. His life was in danger and a wonderful benefactor helped sponsor his care. We moved him to boarding in a clinic and I was told that he was being treated for fly bites all over his body. We were also told he was heartworm positive- no biggie we can handle that. Sadly-- when Fergus finally came to Chicago-- it became clear that the fly bites were actually dog bites and we think poor sweet Fergus was used as a Pitt Bull bait dog. He may have some permanent scaring-- but thankfully he hasn't suffered any mental damage. He is so sweet and we are so glad to have him in our program.
Our heartworm slow kill program is very successful and we do move dogs to foster to adopt and continue their care. Please contact Lisa if you want to learn more about that.
