My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

3-9-09 We could NOT be happier for Tanner - he has found his forever home! Hooray!

2/2/09: Tanner is 35 pounds of affection who will love you to pieces. He has a very mellow disposition, is not aggressive at all but will bark when confronted with something new. At 10 months old he has settled into a more relaxed lifestyle. Plays well with his siblings and likes to capture the prize from his peers. He is comfortable in the crate and will often go there to sleep, but prefers to be as close to his human companion as possible. At bedtime, he snuggles down to keep your feet warm. Do you have a place in your home for this sweet boy?

11/10/08 We cannot believe Tanner and his sister Tori are still in foster care. They are so wonderful and only about 25 pounds so a really nice size. They love other dogs and are very gentle and loving. Here is a little from their foster mom..." Tori is completely house broken but I'm not sure about her skittishness, it comes and goes and is not predictable at all. She still gets in a mood where she won't come in the house, but she spends more time in the house now. I think she would do best with another dog in the house. Tanner is getting there with ouse training- very close! They are no longer in the crate. I have their sheets and blankets on the floor and they go there when I tell them to go to bed. They are also comfortable to jump up on a chair, when Eden, my dog, allows them to. Again, when Eden allows them to, they sleep in the bed with me. They don't move all night - sleep like rocks. They are very smart little dogs and know what "no" means. They have been very good learning commands, but still have a hard time with "down" when they are excited. They come to have the leash put on for a "walk", but still need some work with manners on the walk. They are wonderful little dogs and will make some family very happy" 9/20/08 Tanner (aka Yoda) is a spunky little guy weighing in at 24 pounds. Loves to play with his siblings and chew on sticks. His no-care coat is coal black and shiney, with four white paws, chin and blaze on his chest. When he holds his ears just right, he looks like Yoda of Star Wars fame. He is active and loves his walks in the woods. 9/1/08 Thank you so much Penny for fostering these poor babies! Tanner, Tori and Toby have made it north to safety and they have had their first experience of running in a fenced in yard- after 6 months of living in crates. They love it and are finally able to burn their puppy energy. They are very sweet puppies, about 6 months old and maybe 30 pounds at most- probably won't get much bigger than 35 pounds full grown. Tanner is the most outgoing of all three with white on his chest and feet. Tori and Toby are a little more shy but also so sweet, love to give kisses and are fine with other dogs. Tanner is black with a white blaze on his chest and four white paws. They are doing well on thier house training and learning about house life! Now we need to find forever homes so they never have to be endangered again! Tanner and his siblings desperately need to get north to safety. These adorable siblings have grown quite a bit in the last 3 months, however they definitely appear much smaller than we expected. We aren't sure what they are, but their faces appear to look Schipperke a bit but who knows. Needless to say, they desperately need to get out of the vet's office (they have been living in crates all this time. All 3 of them are friendly and enjoy soaking up the affection. Please consider fostering them as they have been though so much. Their whole lives so far have been behind bars so to speak. They are now about 20-25 pounds and about 4-5 months old. Please help them get to safety by fostering them if you can. Please consider sponsoring Tanner! Tanner and his siblings deserve to come north and find their forever homes!
