Ceylon in AZ's Story...
Please welcome Ceylon to the Colonel Potter family! She is a rescued dog originally from a commercial breeding facility. Ceylon is named after a rare sapphire, which suits her, as she is a real gem! Ceylon has taken her new life by the horns and loves her freedom. She enjoys spending time with our resident Cairns in the yard. She has even joined in a game of chase with our male Cairn. She has learned the joy of toys, too. Ceylon hasn't learned how to walk on a leash yet, through no fault of her own, foster mom's been sick, but now we are ready to get started. Ceylon has learned her name and will come over to me when I call her, as she loves to receive scritches all over her body. She even enjoys sitting on my lap for attention. She is sweet, sweet, sweet!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ceylon in AZ, a Fort Worth Cairn Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Cairn Terrier for sale in Fort Worth, or seeking a Cairn Terrier dog from a breeder in Fort Worth.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Fort Worth already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Fort Worth breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Cairn Terrier breeders who help with Cairn Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Fort Worth paves the way for another one to be saved.
