Lord Fursty in AR's Story...
Introducing Lord Fusty! His name means 'old-fashioned nobleman' and perfectly describes this sweet senior. He adapted quickly to life in his foster home, and he follows foster mom everywhere she goes, and then lays at her feet. He is completely housebroken and is great on a leash. He was a bit shaggy when he arrived so today he went to visit the groomer. He thoroughly enjoyed the ride in the car and was a perfect gentleman for his grooming. We went to see the vet today too, and Dr. R says that Lord Fusty is in great shape. A very healthy, hefty guy! Not a bit overweight, just large framed and muscular. Next week he will return to the vet to be neutered and have his teeth cleaned. Lord Fusty is current on all shots and is heartworm negative. When he is completely recovered from his neuter, he will be ready to be adopted by his own forever family. Don't let his age discourage you. This guy still has many good years ahead to share with you! He is a loving boy and will approach foster mom for hugs and cuddles. If you would like a great buddy to keep you company and give you lots of love, Lord Fusty is your man!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lord Fursty in AR, a Fort Worth Cairn Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Cairn Terrier for sale in Fort Worth, or seeking a Cairn Terrier dog from a breeder in Fort Worth.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Fort Worth already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Fort Worth breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Cairn Terrier breeders who help with Cairn Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Fort Worth paves the way for another one to be saved.
