Hobbsie in BC's Story...
Hobbsie is a lovely dog and not only the humans, but the other two Cairns in her foster home are quite taken with her. New people are charmed by Hobbsie, and surprised at how far she’s come since she was rescued from a commercial breeder. She is very respectful of the canine members of the family, especially my rather grumpy male. Her favorite pastimes are going on walks or playing in the backyard.
She is now potty trained and rarely has accidents. She loves to be held and hugged. Her ears and coat are all healed up now and we see little evidence of her patella problems. When we walk her with our other dogs she is happy to be out. It’s clear she is thriving on all the attention and good care and is becoming much less shy. Anyone would be lucky to have her. She is a very special little dog.

Hobbsie is being fostered in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada in a PRIVATE FOSTER HOME but we allow our dogs to be adopted out all over the United States and Canada!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Hobbsie in BC, a Portland Cairn Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Cairn Terrier for sale in Portland, or seeking a Cairn Terrier dog from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Cairn Terrier breeders who help with Cairn Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
