Taurus in OR's Story...

Taurus was recently released from a commercial breeding facility, but you would hardly know it! He has adjusted to his new life here very quickly and is clearly enjoying all it has to offer. Taurus is shy but friendly - and an affectionate little boy. He enjoys playing with the resident dogs and is beginning to play with toys. Exploring the yard is fun for him too, but he comes quickly when called. He will be a loyal and cherished companion for his lucky 'forever' home.
Taurus is being fostered in Portland, Oregon in a PRIVATE FOSTER HOME but we allow our dogs to be adopted out all over the United States and Canada!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Taurus in OR, a Portland Cairn Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Cairn Terrier for sale in Portland, or seeking a Cairn Terrier dog from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Cairn Terrier breeders who help with Cairn Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
