My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Cowboy is a good boy and has fit in with my pack of 4 dogs from the first day. He is house trained and obedient. He adores being with people so he can snuggle and be scratched. Cowboy loves car rides and gets excited when he knows a walk is coming. He likes to get on with his walk quickly for the first block and then settles down and walks nicely. That first block is just to expend some energy and fall into step, not unlike many other Cairns. He loves playing fetch with his ball almost as much as his walks, so he is easy to exercise and should stay healthy for a nice long time with all the cardio he is happy to do. Although quiet in the house unless he hears a strange noise, he will sound the alarm like any other normal Cairn and run to the door, but he is quick to quiet down. He is friendly with most dogs he meets but occasionally will meet one who he thinks he needs to herd-or give a good talking to but hopefully he will learn from foster mom that she has his back and he doesn’t need to be concerned about other dogs he meets outside. Cowboy has a healthy, normal prey drive and is on alert for squirrels, chipmunks and birds. He actually enjoys TV and will bark at animals he sees on the computer and TV, especially dogs. He loves to wrestle and play with our resident dog Maggie, who is a bit bigger than he is. He shares toys, but loves HIS ball so much that he's content to play happily with no other dogs around. And he sleeps in his crate well, but during the day prefers to share the back of the sofa or bed. Cowboy is ready to find his forever home and he's not picky aside from wanting someone to walk him, and snuggle with him.
